On September 18, Kiselev was taken from Simferopol, and on September 21 – from Krasnodar, and where he is now is unknown.
Kidnapped former Ukrainian Navy captain Alexey Kiselyov, who was sentenced by the occupiers to 8.5 years in prison, was transferred from the Simferopol pre-trial detention center in Russia. Crimean Solidarity wrote about this, citing messages from Kiselev’s relatives.
It was reported that on September 18, Kiselev was taken from Simferopol, and on September 21 – from Krasnodar, and where he is now unknown.
It was noted that according to the law of the Russian Federation, the management of the pre-trial detention center is obliged to warn the relatives where the prisoner was sent and inform them of his arrival in another place of detention within 10 days, but this was not done.
As Suspilne wrote, on July 22, 2022, in occupied Genichesk, Russian security forces detained the former commander of the reconnaissance ship of the Ukrainian Navy Slavutich Alexey Kiselyov, he was accused of participating in the battalion named Noman Celebidzhikhan. This formation is considered a terrorist organization in Russia.
Russian prosecutors had sought a 10-year sentence for him.
The founder of the Noman Chelebidzhikhan battalion, Lenur Islyamov, denied that Alexey Kiselev was involved in it.
Kiselev informed the lawyer about the use of torture against him
The office of the representative of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea called for the immediate dismissal of Kiselev. On October 27, 2022, Alexey Kiselev went on hunger strike due to the lack of a medical examination for two months, despite the detainee’s requests for a doctor’s examination. It violates at least six international treaties.
On February 17, 2023, the occupation court in Dzhankoy sentenced Kiselev to 8.5 years in a maximum security colony.
Let’s recall that in May of this year in Moscow, the court detained the Crimean Tatar Leniya Umerova on charges of “espionage.”
Umerova has been in the Vladikavkaz detention center for the past five months after she crossed the border at the Verkhny Lars checkpoint in North Ossetia. He tried to return to the temporarily occupied Crimea to take care of his father who had cancer.
Lenya was baselessly accused of “violating the rules of a restricted area.” During this time, the 25-year-old girl was placed under administrative arrest several times for “disobeying the police.”
Earlier, in temporarily occupied Crimea, a Russian-controlled court handed down a sentence of seven years in prison in the case of Crimean Tatar Appaz Kurtamet for allegedly transferring funds to a member of the Crimea volunteer battalion.
