Yulia Sviridenko said that almost all sectors of the country’s economy are showing positive trends.
The Ukrainian economy will grow by 5% by the end of the year. The press service of the Ministry of Economy reported this on Friday, October 6, citing the words of the First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine – Minister of Economy Yulia Sviridenko.
“After a decline of almost 30% last year, this year we see recovery growth. At the end of 2023 and next year, we predict GDP growth of around 5%. Almost all sectors are showing positive trends,” the official said.
He added that yield growth was recorded in agriculture, and production rates are gradually recovering in industry: more than 10% growth in mechanical engineering. Such trends are also noticeable in the food industry and furniture manufacturing.
The government representative added that construction is currently growing due to the continuation of job restoration, and there is a revival of demand for the Yosel mortgage program, which will give strength to the activation of the primary real estate market.
According to preliminary operational estimates of the Ministry of Economy, GDP growth in September reached 9.1% compared to September last year. As a result, for January-September 2023, growth is estimated at 5.3%.
The government should strengthen support for business, Sviridenko added. Next year, the budget includes more than UAH 40 billion for programs to stimulate the development of entrepreneurship,
For the first time, the budget will provide funds for the development of industrial parks and funds for humanitarian demining, which will help farmers receive compensation for purchasing services for demining agricultural land.
