Alexey Makeev expressed disappointment that official Berlin is hesitating in making a decision on the transfer of these missiles.
Ukraine needs long-range Taurus missiles for its survival, so it is important that Germany transfer them to the Ukrainian Armed Forces. This is what the Ambassador of Ukraine to Germany Alexey Makeev said, reports the German publication Spiegel.
“Berlin will not yet provide Taurus cruise missiles to Kyiv – such a decision by Berlin caused the disappointment of the Ukrainian Ambassador to Germany Alexei Makeev,” said the media report.
According to the diplomat, we are talking about the needs experienced by the Ukrainian military.
“And Taurus missiles are only necessary for survival,” Makeev emphasized.
As you know, the German government has not yet decided whether it will give the Taurus to Ukraine. At the same time, Ukraine is confident that this decision will not be made “for a whole year.”
