This equipment was provided to the Ukrainian military by the German arms company Rheinmetall. And the order was paid for by the German government. SurveilSpire is an anti-drone system designed to scout and attack enemy drones. This is stated in a company statement.
The SurveilSpire complex consists of mobile surveillance systems, a tower with day and night vision cameras, mini-drones with autopilot, and a command and control system. A small number of personnel are required to monitor areas of the area.
SurveilSpire is also quite mobile, because observation towers can be loaded onto trailers and quickly delivered to the desired area. Three people are enough to collect them.
The system also has wireless communications (4G and Starlink), through which video is transmitted to a mobile command post. And solar panels allow you to work without power cables and fuel.
Let us recall that on August 4, the German government announced the transfer to Ukraine of a new package of military assistance, which included five SurveilSPIRE intelligence systems.
