Rostec companies produce up to 80% of military equipment, weapons and ammunition for the war of aggression against Ukraine.
The Security Service of Ukraine collected an evidence base on Sergei Chemezov, the general director of the Russian corporation Rostec, which is a monopolist in the supply of weapons and ammunition to the occupation groups of the Russian Federation. The press service of the SBU reports this.
“According to the available data, the person involved is part of Putin’s circle of friends and closest associates, whom he met while serving in the KGB of the former Soviet Union. Due to his closeness to the head of the Kremlin, Chemezov became the permanent head of a major corporation in the military-industrial complex of the aggressor country for more than 15 years”, the message said.
The SBU states that Rostec companies produce up to 80% of military equipment, weapons and ammunition for the war of aggression against Ukraine.
“Among them are the Kalashnikov, Uralvagonzavod, Russian Helicopters and United Aircraft Corporation concerns, which provide the invaders with tanks, combat aircraft and missile systems,” the SBU clarified.
In particular, the facts of the transfer of wholesale quantities of Chemezov companies to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation are documented:
▪ Su-30, Su-35, Su-57 fighters;
▪ Su-34 front-line fighter-bombers;
▪ ballistic missiles of the Kh-47M Kinzhal type;
▪ combat helicopters Ka-52 and Mi-28;
▪ attack and reconnaissance drones;
▪ military transport aircraft Il-76;
▪ T-90M, T-80BVM and T-72B3M tanks;
▪ BMP-2M and BMP-3 infantry fighting vehicles;
▪ Tornado-S and Tornado-G multiple launch rocket systems, as well as Msta-S self-propelled howitzers.
Chemezov was informed of the suspicion of funding actions made with the aim of violently changing or overthrowing the constitutional order or usurping state power, changing the territorial boundaries or state borders of Ukraine.
“Since the officer is outside Ukraine, comprehensive measures are underway to bring him to justice,” the SBU said in a statement.
Earlier it was reported that the suspicion was announced against a Russian who became a “hero” for the crimes in Bucha.
