This was reported by the publication “Public”.
If bail is posted, Lysenko will be subject to the following restrictions:
- arrive on demand;
- do not leave the city without permission;
- inform the prosecutor about a change in place of residence;
- It is forbidden to communicate with deputies of the Sumy City Council.
- The meeting to seize Lysenko’s property will be held on another date.
Lysenko and the director of the Sumy infrastructure department, Alexander Zhurba, were detained by NABU and SAP together with the SBU on the evening of October 2. According to investigators, they demanded 2 million 130 thousand UAH from a local company engaged in garbage removal.
Law enforcement agencies stated that the arrest occurred “red-handed” – when the defendants received part of a bribe in the amount of 1.4 million UAH. On October 3, it became known that Lysenko and Zhurba were suspected under Part 4 of Art. 368 (acceptance of an offer, promise or obtaining unlawful benefit by an official) of the Criminal Code.
In a comment to reporters, Lysenko assured that during the searches he did not have any funds:
I did not demand any illegal benefit from anyone. And today I provided the arguments that were heard in court. I was not offered money and I did not receive it. I did not see this money, did not receive it, and was not near it. From the photo you might think that I was next to the car where the money was. But this is not true.
He also said that the prosecution asked for bail to be set at UAH 10 million.
