She was found guilty in the case of fakes against the Russian army. The prosecutor’s office demanded nine and a half years in prison for Ovsyannikova.
The formal occasion was a picket on Sofiyskaya Embankment in Moscow. The investigation stated that Ovsyannikova intended to “contribute to the growth of social tension.”
Ovsyannikova gained popularity in March 2022, when she appeared on Channel One with an anti-war poster. After the action, she quit, left Russia and worked in Germany for several months. She later returned to Moscow and continued to participate in anti-war actions. She was fined three times under the article on “discrediting” the army.
In August 2022, a criminal case was opened against Ovsyannikov for “fakes” about the Russian army.
