At the previous contact group meeting on May 23, 20 states announced new aid packages to Ukraine.
Next, the third meeting of Ukraine’s defense contact group will be held at NATO headquarters on June 15, the Pentagon reports.
“Secretary Austin has once again invited defense ministers and defense staff leaders from around the world to discuss the ongoing crisis in Ukraine,” the statement said.
Recall that two Contact Group meetings in Ukraine have already taken place at the German NATO base Ramstein.
The last meeting was held on May 23 via videoconference attended by 47 countries. At the same time, 20 states have announced new aid packages – these are critically needed artillery weapons, tanks and other armored vehicles.
Defense Minister Aleksey Reznikov said he expects to report to his colleagues on the results of the use of the new weapons at the next meeting in June.
