German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said the world must put more pressure on Russian dictator Vladimir Putin to end the war in Ukraine.

Scholz stated this during a “dialogue with citizens” held in Hamburg on October 2.
I will do everything to ensure that we significantly increase the pressure, and the Russian president eventually realized that he cannot simply say: “I will continue until I achieve my goal, no matter how much it costs lives, including and to our own soldiers,” Scholz is convinced.
In his opinion, everything possible must be done to ensure that the war ends and Ukraine is able to protect its integrity and independence.
He also positively assessed the negotiations at the level of political advisers – first in Copenhagen, then in Jeddah, in which representatives of China, South Africa and Brazil took part.
This is not yet a promise of a solution. In this situation, it is difficult to say what we hope, but this, I think, is the way,” said the head of government.
Scholz believes that the path would willingly take a map of Europe, a pen, draw a line and say: “this is yours, this is ours.”
I emphasize: it cannot be right when a great strong neighbor says that he needs part of the territory. The essence of the conflict is that we are talking about conquering the country, nothing else,” Scholz stated.
Let us recall that Germany is one of the leaders among Ukraine’s allies in terms of arms supplies. Berlin provided the Ukrainian Armed Forces with several types of artillery, Leopard tanks of older and newer modifications, IRIS-T and Patriot air defense systems, ammunition, vehicles, drones and other types of weapons.
