The Australian edition of ABC wrote about this with reference to a representative of the manufacturing company, Matt Jones.
The first batch of ten systems will be transferred to Ukraine by the end of the year and will provide protection against small drones.
Slingers are capable of destroying attack UAVs and helicopters. The complex can fire single shots, and also has modes of 100 and 200 exits per minute. In total, our soldiers will receive 110 Slingers, which will be installed on armored personnel carriers.
The complex uses thermal imagers and night vision devices.
EOS has signed two contracts with Ukraine for the supply of 110 Slinger systems, which will equip armored personnel carriers.
The complex was created on the basis of the 30-mm M230LF cannon and the 7.62-mm MAG58 machine gun installed on the GMC Denali pickup truck.
The Slinger system is equipped with thermal imaging and night sights. A 30-mm cannon is suitable for hitting vehicles and other air targets such as helicopters.
At the beginning of September, the Australian authorities announced that in total Ukraine would receive from us 110 systems that would be equipped with the M113 and another 50 systems in cooperation with a company called Practika, which would be integrated into the Bushmaster armored personnel carrier. The total amount of the export contract will be 170 million dollars.
