Pyongyang has stressed that North Korea withdrew from the IAEA in 1994, so the Agency has no authority to comment on or review its nuclear program.
North Korea has said the IAEA does not have the authority to pass resolutions on its nuclear developments and accused Director General Rafael Grossi of playing along with the United States and the West. Yonhap writes about it.
At the IAEA’s 67th General Conference, member nations adopted a resolution calling on Pyongyang to halt its nuclear weapons program and comply with its own obligations under UN Security Council resolutions.
Pyongyang has stressed that North Korea withdrew from the IAEA in 1994, so the Agency has no authority to comment on or review its nuclear program.
“As long as the brutal nuclear weapons of the United States and aggressive imperialist forces exist in this land, the DPRK’s position as a nuclear weapon state will remain unchanged, and we will never tolerate the actions of enemy forces that violates our sovereignty,” the document said.
Separately, Pyongyang personally accuses IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi of creating an atmosphere of pressure on the DPRK and spreading false information about the inevitable seventh nuclear test, supposedly to please the United States and the West.
Let’s remember that Kim Jong-un ordered to deepen relations with Russia.
It was previously reported that Kim Jong-un called the visit to Russia “strategic”.
