The issue of supplying Bayraktar Akinci models to Ukraine is in progress. The Ukrainian military is already well versed in Turkish-made drones. Baykar CEO Haluk Bayraktar stated this in an interview with Radio Liberty.
According to him, the Bayraktar manufacturer supplies the Ukrainian Defense Forces with Bayraktar TB2 drones, known among Ukrainians. And in Ukraine there is a company of 50 people supporting the squadron.
We have the necessary permissions for this. Therefore, we can completely produce Bayraktar TB2 rather than assemble it. Also here we can fully produce Bayraktar Akinci. We have permission from our government for this, which demonstrates how close we are to implementation,” he noted.
Let us remind you that the Baykar company from Turkey, known for the production of Bayraktar TB2 attack drones, is investing $100 million in three projects in Ukraine. In particular, at least 500 workers will work at the UAV production plant.
