The Office of the President does not rule out that Russian occupying forces may besiege the city of Slovyansk.
More than 75% of the population left Slavyansk. Today, about 24 thousand people remain in the city. This was announced on Monday, June 6, in the Telegram of the head of Donetsk OVA Pavel Kirilenko.
Kirilenko said about 100 people had left Slovyansk since the end of last week.
“Today there are no more than 24 thousand inhabitants left in Slavyansk. There are problems with water supply in the northern part of the region – Slavyansk, Konstantinovka, Druzhkovka, part of the Kramatorsk community – due to power outages. And the people, realizing it, even if late, will go away “, – said the head of the Donetsk OVA.
Kirilenko also recalled that in 2019, nearly 110,000 people lived in the city.
Earlier, Aleksey Arestovich, adviser to the head of the Presidential Administration, said that Russian troops could besiege the city of Slavyansk.
It was also reported that the enemy continued the offensive against Slavyansk.
