In Ukraine, the Turks have three main investments – a plant, a service center and a head office. It will take about a year and a half to complete construction. At least 500 workers will work at the plant. Baykar CEO Haluk Bayraktar announced this on September 30 at the Defense Industries Forum in Kyiv.
We have three main investments in Ukraine. One of them is the plant. Then we have a service center, as well as a head office here… This is an investment that amounts to about $100 million, and the process has already begun, he noted.
According to him, production will be self-sufficient, environmentally friendly and mutually beneficial, since Ukraine has unique technologies for producing engines, and the Turkish side has UAVs on which these engines are installed.
Let us remind you that the Baykar company has already created a company in Ukraine for the production of attack drones Bayraktar, acquired a land plot and developed a plant design. Production of Bayractors in Ukraine may begin in 2025.
