During another strike by the Russian army on Ukraine using the Shahed UAV, the authorities warned residents of the municipalities of Tulcea and Galati about the danger. The observation radar system showed a possible airspace violation, and the signal was recorded in the direction of Galati. This was reported by the Romanian Ministry of Defense, BBC reports.
The department noted that there is currently no evidence that any airborne objects fell on Romanian territory, but they plan to continue the search for debris today.
Let us remind you that debris from Russian suicide bombers regularly falls on Romanian territory during attacks in the Odessa region.
The Romanian Army then decided to move air defense systems closer to its settlements on the Danube on the border with Ukraine. The Romanians are also increasing the number of military observation posts and patrols in the Danube region. In addition, four additional F-16 fighter jets will be deployed and the no-fly zone will be expanded.
