No one should buy Russian oil that violates the price ceiling, the White House believes.

The United States ensures that Russia does not sell oil above the “price ceiling.” White House National Security Council Coordinator John Kirby said this on Friday, September 29, in an online briefing.

“We will continue to monitor and discuss this issue with our European allies and partners to monitor the effectiveness of the Russian oil price cap,” said John Kirby.

He emphasized that no one should buy Russian oil in violation of the price ceiling.

At the same time, the representative of the White House added that the general idea is not to exclude Russian oil from the world market, but to balance global supply and demand and reduce the income of the Kremlin regime.

“The United States believes that the introduction of limitations has a significant impact on limiting the capabilities of the Russian Federation, so the White House will continue to monitor this situation,” he said.

The Estonian government has approved proposals for the twelfth package of EU sanctions against the Russian Federation, including the introduction of a full trade embargo.

It was previously reported that Russia in July maintained exports of oil and petroleum products at the level of June – 7.3 million barrels per day, while its export earnings increased by $2.5 billion – to $15.3 billion .
