President Vladimir Zelensky announced the creation of the North Atlantic Defense Industries Alliance. He said this at the first International Forum of Defense Industries in Kyiv.
According to the head of state, the declaration is open for accession; 13 companies have already signed it.
“At this forum, we announced the creation of the Defense Industries Alliance. An alliance that values international law and knows how to work for the real protection of international law, the protection of security – and not only about Ukraine I’m talking. , but about the security of any country in the world from any aggression,” – Zelensky noted.
The President announced that a basic declaration has been developed as the basis of the alliance, in which manufacturers of military equipment and weapons from around the world can join.
“The way we survived the war, the way Ukraine won, we are giving everyone else in the world who values peace a successful strategy for national and collective defense, a long-term strategy. And now, for decade Ahead, it is determined what the most powerful defense-industrial systems will be complex will be their priorities and will be the standard of defense in the world. In Ukraine this is determined,” Zelensky emphasized.
As reported, Ukraine and the United States will develop a plan for joint production of weapons, including air defense systems.
Earlier, the head of the Pentagon said that Ukraine is asking its partners for the weapons it considers necessary, in particular, missiles; however, the US military leadership believes that the most necessary is the proper provision of air defense systems.
