In his first speech, Brown said his goal was to thwart the invasion and “take the fight where it’s necessary.”
The general also mentioned the need to modernize the US Army considering new strategies.
From 2018 to 2020, Brown led the US Air Forces in the Pacific. Prior to that, he was deputy chairman of US Central Command, whose area of operational responsibility included the Middle East. From 2014 to 2015, Brown was responsible for nuclear deterrence for the US Air Forces in Europe.
The US Senate has overwhelmingly confirmed US Air Force General Charles Brown to head the Joint Chiefs of Staff. His candidacy was supported by 83 of the 100 senators on September 20.
