At least five of the seven indestructible foundations of nuclear safety and protection have been compromised in the ZNPP.
At the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant, which is currently controlled by the Russian occupiers, there is a real risk to safety and security. This was stated by the head of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Rafael Grossi, according to the organization’s website on Monday, June 6th.

“At least five of the seven important pillars of nuclear safety and security have been compromised at the site,” Grossi said in a speech before the IAEA Board of Governors.
According to him, there is pressure on the Ukrainian staff of the ZNPP. Grossi expressed concern that some spare parts were not delivered to the station due to supply chain disruptions.
The IAEA chief confirmed his determination to lead a specialized mission to the station.
“We must find a solution to the barriers that hinder development in the Zaporozhye NPP. I will not stop doing so and look forward to your active support,” Grossi added.
As you know, since March 4, the Zaporozhye NPP has been controlled by Russian occupiers. Also under the occupiers was the satellite city of the nuclear power plant – Energodar. During the capture of the station, the occupiers turned off online surveillance to hide their actions from the IAEA.
Earlier, on June 3, the GUR MOU stated that a critical situation had been formed with the ZNPP to ensure the stable and safe operation of the station, as the business had virtually no spare parts and consumables.
