Ukraine is introducing innovations – “from drones to mine clearance” – at lightning speed, noted Jens Stoltenberg.
Ukrainians need a lot of quality weapons. The stronger Ukraine is on the battlefield, the stronger its position at the negotiating table and the faster peace will be established. NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said this while speaking at the first meeting of the International Defense Industry Forum in Kyiv, the Alliance press service reported on Friday, September 29.
“Only courage does not stop drones, only heroism cannot intercept missiles. Ukraine needs power, high quality, large quantity and fast,” Stoltenberg said, adding that “without industry there is nothing defense.”
In particular, he praised the intelligence of the Ukrainian defense industry. According to him, it introduced innovations – “from drones to mine clearing” – at lightning speed.
The Secretary General of NATO added that “the stronger Ukraine is on the battlefield, the stronger its position will be at the negotiating table.”
“Therefore, even if it seems paradoxical, weapons for Ukraine are the path to peace,” said Stoltenberg.
It is understood that the defense forum was attended by major defense companies across NATO. In particular, representatives from more than 20 countries took part in it.
Earlier it became known that Ukraine and France entered into agreements in the field of defense industry. They are signed both to large manufacturers of military equipment and to small businesses working in the field of artillery, armored vehicles, drones and mine clearance.
