Russian President Vladimir Putin on Friday, September 29, signed a decree on the beginning of autumn recruitment in the Russian army from October 1. The corresponding document was published on the official portal of legal actions of Russian Federation.
According to the document, fall enrollment will last October-December. 130 thousand people aged 18 to 27 who are not in the reserves will be included in the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
This fall’s conscription will be the last in which the upper draft age limit is limited to 27 years.
Earlier, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced that the fall conscription for military service will begin on October 1, including in the occupied territories of Ukraine.
In Russia, military conscription is usually carried out twice a year: in spring and autumn.
Let’s recall that on August 4, Putin signed a decree to raise the conscription age from 18 to 30 years from January 1, 2024. The upper limit of the conscription age will move from the current 27 to 30 years, the more lower limit will remain at the same level – 18 years.
