The Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Igor Klimenko, reported that the telephone service No. 112 is fully functional in Kyiv region.
According to him, the 112 service is the “single window” for citizens in emergency situations and is used as an alternative to hotlines 101, 102, 103 and 104, allowing one to avoid wasting time calling each service separately.
“Implementation of an emergency call number began in Kyiv. In almost three months of work, more than 167 thousand calls were received. Most often, the calls were sent to the National Police of Ukraine,” said the minister .
He added that people with hearing or speech disabilities can also call the line. Sign language interpreters of 112 services have processed more than 2 thousand such calls since July 1, 2023.
We remind you that the connection of the Emergency Service to the population through a single telephone number 112 will take place in four stages until the end of 2024.
