In particular, pilots in the aircraft simulator learn to control the F-16 fighter jet using virtual reality glasses, a throttle stick, pedals and a monitor. Pilots get to know the cockpit of a fighter jet in virtual reality. The Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported this on Facebook on September 27.
Pilots also carry out joint missions over the territory of Ukraine as part of a pair, flight, or squadron, while being in different Ukrainian regions.
The military noted that such virtual simulators allow you not to be tied to specific locations and time, but to retrain in your free time. And this will allow air force pilots to quickly undergo training on real aircraft in partner countries.
Let us remember that President Vladimir Zelensky said in August that Ukraine needs at least 160 fighters to prevent Russia from dominating the air. Then there were agreements with partner countries on 50-60 aircraft for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
