It is capable of producing about 10 thousand servings per day, working autonomously for 5-7 days and preparing full meals: soups, cereals, salads and meat.
It consists of six cars under the locomotive: a generator, a refrigerator, a cold and hot kitchen, a staff car with a shower and a baggage car for 27,000 liters of water with a pumping station.
In the near future, the team will take up permanent duty in the front-line areas. All funded by the Howard Buffett Foundation.
The train consists of six cars with a locomotive:
- generator car (~400 kW + own gas station for autonomous operation);
- a refrigerator car with a freezer for storing food;
- a carriage with a cold kitchen for pre-processing food;
- a carriage with a hot kitchen for preparing final dishes;
- train staff carriage with shower and washing machine;
- luggage car for 27 thousand liters of water with a filtration and pumping station.
Special thermal boxes installed inside the train make it easy to transport ready-made lunchboxes with food from the kitchen train to the end consumer.
