An FSB agent who corrected Russian missile attacks on the military and critical infrastructure of Zaporozhye received a life sentence.

SBU counterintelligence officers detained a 37-year-old pro-Russian Cossack during a special operation on the frontline territory of the region in November 2022. This was reported by the press service of the SBU and the Zaporozhye regional prosecutor’s office.
According to the investigation, the attacker turned out to be an employee of a local defense company who:
- through SMS and video messages in a closed Telegram channel, he disseminated information about the coordinates of individual units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the types, quantity of military equipment and directions of its movement;
- brought Russian missiles to the plant’s production shops;
- corrected a series of air attacks by the aggressor on the facilities of the region’s energy complex;
- after enemy attacks, he went out into the area to record the consequences of the arrivals and transmit the corresponding report to the occupiers.
In particular, the attacker, having witnessed the repair of Ukrainian military equipment at one of the Zaporozhye defense enterprises, passed on the relevant information to the infidels.
According to investigators, he was recruited by the Russian intelligence service after the start of the full-scale Russian invasion. The transfer of intelligence data to the invaders was carried out in the form of electronic coordinates and photos of Ukrainian objects with location reference.
During searches at the traitor’s place of residence, a mobile phone and computer equipment were confiscated, which he used in intelligence and subversive activities in favor of Russia.
Based on the evidence collected by the SBU, the court found the attacker guilty under Part 2 of Art. 111 of the Criminal Code (high treason committed under martial law).
The accused did not admit his guilt. During the trial, the criminal proceedings showed complete indifference to the consequences of their criminal activities, the prosecutor’s office notes. “He will remain in custody until the verdict comes into force.
