In Kyiv yesterday, September 23, at about 11 p.m., a fire occurred in an animal shelter set up in the Goloseevsky district of the capital.

This was reported by the press service of the Kyiv police.
At the specified address, volunteers independently built a shelter for cats. Local residents took care of the animals and observed them. It was previously established that there were about 60 cats in the shelter, 7 of which died as a result of the fire, others with burns were taken to the veterinary clinic, the report says.
An investigation has been launched under Part 2 of Art. 194 of the Criminal Code – deliberate destruction or damage to property, causing grave consequences. The issue of entering information into the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations under Art. 299 of the Criminal Code – cruelty to animals.
Law enforcement officers are clarifying all the circumstances of the incident and conducting investigative actions.
