Ukrainian mortars and UAVs are already within working distance from the Bakhmut-Gorlovka highway, which the invaders use to supply units.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces are already taking over one of the Russian logistics routes in the direction of Bakhmut and are trying to cut off the rest. The head of the press service of the Eastern Group of Forces, Ilya Yevlash, said this in a telethon on September 24.
“One of the routes, we can finish it, is the Bakhmut-Gorlovka highway, located three kilometers from the contact line, this is the working distance for our mortars and UAVs… Also, there is still an enemy several logistics routes through which he supplies supplies to the Bakhmut group, including routes leading from the occupied territory. However, we continue to cut these routes,” he said.
According to the spokesman, for the first time after a long break, the enemy tried to test the defenses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces near Belogorovka, throwing Storm-Z units formed from Russian prisoners of war. They were all destroyed.
Earlier it was reported that the Ukrainian army continues to hold the enemy in the east and south, and is also advancing in Bakhmut and in the direction of Melitopol. In the last 24 hours, more than 20 clashes have taken place on the front.
