After his visit to Canada, President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky held an unscheduled meeting with Chairman of the Sovereign Council of the Republic of Sudan Abdel Fattah al-Burgan at Irish Shannon Airport.

The press service of the Office of the Prosecutor General reported this today, September 23.
It is noted that the interlocutors discussed:
- general security challenges, in particular the activities of illegal armed groups financed by Russia;
- possible platforms for strengthening interaction between Ukraine and the countries of the African continent.
Zelensky also thanked Sudan for its consistent support of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine and invited Abdel Fattah al-Burgan to support the Grain From Ukraine humanitarian initiative, which aims to supply food to the most vulnerable countries in Africa, as well as to join the Global Peace Summit.
It has not yet been clarified how long Zelensky will stay in Ireland and whether other meetings are planned during his stay in this country.
