Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said Russia is ready for negotiations to end the war in Ukraine, but will not consider any proposals for a ceasefire. He made this statement at a press conference in New York, where the UN General Assembly session is taking place.

Lavrov also said that Vladimir Zelensky’s peace formula, which provides for the withdrawal of Russian troops from the entire internationally recognized territory of Ukraine, seems “unworkable, everyone knows it.”
