Tanks will not last long in a combined arms battle, so the Ukrainian Armed Forces keep them for special occasions.
The Ukrainian military will use American Abrams tanks for well-prepared breakthrough operations. The head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry, Kirill Budanov, spoke about this in an interview with Warzone.
According to him, Ukraine “depends” on tanks, but will use them carefully – only for well-designed operations.
“Because if they are used on the front line and simply in combined arms combat, they will not survive very long. They need to be used in breakthrough operations, but very well trained,” said Budanov.
We remind you that the day before US President Joe Biden said that the first Abrams tanks will arrive in Ukraine next week.
And the Pentagon reported that Ukraine will receive 120-mm tank ammunition with depleted uranium for Abrams tanks.
