The enemy continued the attack on Slavyansk – General Staff

The Russian military continued offensive operations in Slavyansk and the Svyatogorsk area.

The enemy has focused its efforts on continuing offensive operations in the direction of Slovyansk, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported on Sunday, June 5th.

“In the direction of Slavyansk, enemy efforts are focused on continuing the offensive in the direction of the Slavyansk settlement. The enemy fired on civilian infrastructures in the areas of the communities of Chepol, Dubrovno, Vernopolye, Dovgenkoye and Bogorodichnoye, “the report said.

The aggressor did not take active actions in the directions of Volyn and Polesye. The main efforts of the units of the Belarusian Armed Forces are focused on conducting reconnaissance and engineering equipment of positions.

“When evaluating the combat readiness of units, special attention is paid to performing tasks of overcoming water barriers and the interaction of aircraft controllers with crews of army aviation helicopters,” the General Staff notes.

Under Seversky’s direction, the enemy closely monitored sections of the Ukrainian-Russian border in the Bryansk and Kursk regions. The aggressor fired mortars at civilian infrastructure near the village of Gremyach, Chernihiv region.

Under the direction of Slobozhansky, the enemy continued to fire units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces from cannon artillery, numerous rocket launching systems, mortars and tanks. The aggressor is rapidly restoring transportation and rail infrastructure in the temporarily occupied territories to support offensive actions, and also continues to use electronic warfare to create conditions that do not include the use of UAVs by Ukrainian troops.

In the direction of Kharkiv, the enemy focused its main efforts on maintaining the occupied borders and boundaries of the areas north of the city of Kharkov, shot down civilian infrastructures in the areas of Tsirkuny communities, Russian and Cherkassky Tishki, Stary Saltov, launched rocket strikes in the Korotich community area.

The occupiers tried to conduct offensive operations and attacks in the areas of the Bogorodichnoye and Dovgenkoye communities, but were unsuccessful.

In the direction of Donetsk, the enemy launched air strikes on civilian infrastructures in the areas of the cities of Slavyansk and Lysichansk.
In the direction of Liman, the aggressor continued the offensive in the Svyatogorsk settlement area with artillery support. But it has huge losses in manpower, weapons and equipment. The aggressor storms in the direction of the Old Caravan village. The battle continues.

In the direction of Severodonetsk, the enemy fired mortars, artillery and mass launching rocket systems at units of Ukrainian troops and civilian infrastructure in the areas of Severodonetsk, Lysichansk, Toshkovka, Ustinovka communities.
In the direction of Bakhmut, the aggressor fired in the areas of the communities of Kamyshevakha, Nikolaevka, Belogorovka, Pokrovskoye and Dolomitnoye. The enemy used to attack and fly troops near Bakhmut and Berestovoye.

The occupiers carried out offensive operations in the areas of the Belogorovka and Nikolaevka communities, but suffered huge losses in manpower and equipment, the fighting continued.
In the direction of Avdeevsky, Kurakhovsky, Novopavlovsky and Zaporozhye, the enemy did not conduct active combat. He carried out shelling of civilian infrastructures in the areas of Zaitsevo, New York, Toretsk, Krasnogorovka, Maryinka, Uspenovka, Orekhov and Kamenskoye communities. He carried out strikes from operational-tactical and army aircraft near Novoselovka, New York, Marinka and Kamenskoye.

In the direction of Yuzhnobuzhsky, the invaders fired at the positions of Ukrainian troops, trying to conduct a counter-battery battle. To clarify the position of the Ukrainian units and fix the fire, they conducted aerial reconnaissance using UAVs. The enemy used artillery in the areas of the Nikolaev, Pribugskoye, Luch, Blagodatnoye, Shirokoye and Tokarevo communities.

The occupiers raided the Belaya Krinitsa community area to restore the previously lost position. After the defeat of Ukraine’s defense forces, they withdrew from their previously occupied positions.

The enemy continues to suffer huge losses during the conduct of battles on the territory of Ukraine. To replenish the units, the Russian occupiers continued measures of forced mobilization in the temporarily occupied territories of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

The other day, the General Staff said that the pace of advance of the invaders in the Donbass had slowed down. This is due to the physical exhaustion of the staff and low moral and psychological state.
