The Azerbaijani Armed Forces performed “all assigned tasks of anti-terrorist operations.”
On the day of the anti-terrorist operation in Nagorno-Karabakh, all goals were achieved. This is what Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said in a speech on Wednesday, September 20.
According to him, Azerbaijan has restored its territorial integrity. Aliyev, he gave clear instructions to the country’s troops not to endanger the population during the operation in Karabakh.
Azerbaijan’s President says his country will “end” if illegal armed groups in Karabakh do not lay down their arms. Aliyev also noted that the Armenian leadership “showed political ability” in the Karabakh situation.
“In the conditions of difficult terrain, in the presence of fortifications built by the enemy for many years as a result of large-scale engineering works, despite the location of hostile positions in the hills and the advantageous place, our military showed heroism, professionalism and in short. Time achieved significant military success in all directions of success,” he said.
Aliyev also added about the destruction and disabling of the enemy’s military equipment.
Let’s recall that on September 19, Azerbaijan began “anti-terrorist measures” in Nagorno-Karabakh to restore constitutional order. Later, an ultimatum was given to Yerevan in Baku.
On September 20, it became known that the conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh had been suspended by the order of the Russian peacekeeping contingent. Azerbaijan has expressed its readiness to sign a peace treaty with Armenia.
