Bulgaria, North Macedonia and Montenegro refused to allow the plane with Sergei Lavrov on the eve of his visit to Serbia.
Bulgaria, North Macedonia and Montenegro closed the skies for Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov’s plane. This was reported by the Serbian edition of Novosti.
In this regard, the visit of Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov to Serbia scheduled for June 6-7 has “become a big question mark.” At the same time, according to the publication, “there is no fault of the Belgrade official here.”
The fact is that Bulgaria, North Macedonia and Montenegro closed their airspace on the plane of the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry. So far, there has been no official confirmation from the Kremlin or official Belgrade.
Remember that Lavrov will not be able to attend the UN meeting because of sanctions. After the imposition of sanctions on flights of Russian aircraft, the European Union asked the Russian Federation to draw up documents. The Russians refused.
