On the night of September 20, the Russian occupation army launched several groups of Shahed loitering ammunition across Ukraine. An air raid alert was announced in the north, east and south of the country and in Kyiv. At about 5.00 the air alarm was cleared in all areas.

According to the military, the first group of Shaheds was spotted in the north of the Poltava region, it was moving in a southwestern direction, but the course could change.
The second group of enemy kamikaze drones entered Ukrainian airspace in the Sumy region from the Kursk region of Russia.
Subsequently it became known that at night the Russians attacked the Poltava region. The regional military administration reported that an oil refinery in Kremenchug had been hit. There was a fire there. Rescuers are working on the spot. There is no information about casualties.
At 1:01, the threat of using attack drones spread to the Chernihiv region.
At 01.07, the air raid alert for a UAV spread to the Dnepropetrovsk region.
At 1:11 the alarm spread to the Zaporozhye and Poltava regions.
Subsequently, the Air Force indicated that another group of enemy drones entered Ukrainian airspace in the Sumy region from the Kursk region.
Several more groups of “Shaheds” were noticed in Zaporozhye; they were moving from the south in a northwest direction.
At 1:21 a.m. a threat appeared in the Kherson and Nikolaev regions.
At 1.38 it became known that several more groups of hostile UAVs were entering Ukrainian airspace in the Sumy region from the Kursk region of Russia.
At 2:01, the threat of using attack drones appeared in the Kyiv and Kirovograd regions.
At 2:08 am the air raid alert spread to the Cherkasy region and Kyiv.
At 2.29 it became known about several new groups of “Shaheds” in the south of the Sumy region, coming from the Belgorod region of Russia.
At 4.04 the air raid warning was lifted in Kyiv and the region, Chernigov, Nikolaev and Kherson regions.
At 4:46 a.m., the Air Force announced the all-clear throughout Ukraine.
