The leaders of the countries discussed the preparations for the next meeting on the implementation of the Ukrainian peace formula at the advisory level.
On the sidelines of the 78th session of the UN General Assembly in New York, the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky met with the leaders of the Republic of South Africa and Kenya, Cyril Ramaphosa and William Ruto. The press service of the head of state reported this on Tuesday, September 19.
The presidents discussed preparations for the next meeting on the implementation of the Ukrainian peace formula at the advisory level. In addition, the parties discussed preparations for the Global Peace Summit at the level of heads of state.
The need to continue the functioning of the Black Sea grain corridor was noted to ensure global food security, as well as the creation of grain hubs in Africa.

“We are not waiting, we are continuing the Black Sea Grain Initiative, testing alternative routes. Several ships with grain have successfully traveled these routes, despite the difficult situation,” Zelensky stressed.
The head of state especially noted the importance of speeding up the processes of returning to their homeland Ukrainian children who were illegally deported to Russia, as well as the exchange of detained people.
Let’s recall that on September 18, Zelensky arrived on a visit to the United States, where he will participate in high-level meetings within the UN General Assembly.
