Georgian authorities are trying to “demonize” Ukraine to solve their internal political issues, the Foreign Ministry said.
The information from the Georgian special services about the involvement of the Ukrainian side in the preparation of a rebellion in the country does not correspond to the truth. This is what the representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Oleg Nikolenko said on Facebook on Monday, September 18.
The diplomat noted that the Foreign Ministry paid attention to the statements of the representatives of the Georgian security bloc about the alleged involvement of the Ukrainian side in the preparation of a rebellion in Georgia.
“This information does not correspond to the truth. The current authorities of Georgia are once again trying to demonize Ukraine in order to solve their internal political issues. The state of Ukraine does not interfere, does not interfere and does not plan to interfere in internal affairs of Georgia,” the spokesperson of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry emphasized.
Let’s remember that the special services of Georgia previously said that a group of people was planning a riot in the country with the aim of changing power by force in October-December. The Georgian side named the founders of the Georgian Legion and the deputy head of the Military Intelligence Service, Georgiy Lortkipanidze, as one of the organizers of the rebellion.
