The first settlement where they began to forcibly remove minors from their parents was Bakhmut.
In the Donetsk region, in six settlements subject to mandatory evacuation, 42 children remain with their parents or guardians. Deputy Head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration Yulia Kostyunina informed Suspilny about this on Sunday, September 17.
Another 42 children had to be evacuated, including:
-
from the village of New York – 11 children,
-
Severnoye village (Toretskaya TG) – 14 children,
-
Orekhovatka village – five children,
-
Village of Nikanorovka – 5 five children,
-
Malinovka village – a child,
-
village of Rai-Alexandrovka (Nikolaev TG, Kramatorsk district) – six children.
“There were also five cases of families returning with nine children. All families with children were evacuated again,” Kostyunina said.
He indicated that as of April 2023, 483 children from 36 settlements located in the territory of possible and/or active conflict in the Donetsk region were evacuated to safer regions in September.
The decision on the forced evacuation of children, when parents or guardians are required to leave a dangerously populated area, is made by the regional military administration. The procedure provides for the evacuation of a minor with a parent who cannot refuse to leave a dangerously populated area.
Earlier it became known that in the Zaporozhye region the authorities are going to evacuate children from two districts.
Hundreds of children were taken from the Kupyansky district – OVA
