The Speaker of Parliament toured countries considered skeptical of Ukraine’s integration into Europe.
Verkhovna Rada Chairman Ruslan Stefanchuk intends to visit France, the Netherlands, Belgium and Austria during his official trip to Europe, and will also speak in the European Parliament. He said this on the air of the national telethon, Interfax-Ukraine reports on Sunday, June 5th.
I started a big trip in Europe to countries considered skeptical of European integration … After Germany, I will have France, meetings in Paris, Strasbourg. After that, there will be a meeting with colleagues from the Netherlands, after that with the Belgians and with the Austrians, ”Stefanchuk said.
According to him, the main task of these visits will be to convince these countries of the need for Ukraine’s integration into the European Union.
In addition, Stefanchuk will visit Strasbourg, speak at the European Parliament and possibly meet with French President Emanuel Macron.
First of all, in France, I will work on the parliamentary line…. A possible meeting with President Macron is being held, if schedule allows, the spokesman said and not neglecting meetings with heads of other EU institutions.
On June 3, Stefanchuk met with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz. The meeting took place in Berlin. And following the results of negotiations with German Defense Minister Christina Lambrecht, the spokesman did not rule out the possibility of moving submarines to Ukraine.
