The press service of the State Emergency Service reported this today, September 16.
Firefighters who quickly arrived at the scene of the fire found a wooden church building completely engulfed in fire. Fire extinguishing agents were immediately supplied for liquidation. The fire was localized at 4:44 a.m. and extinguished at 06:55 a.m., the department noted.
As a result of the fire, the building, which was a historical architectural monument of local significance in 1877, was destroyed by fire.
There were no casualties or injuries as a result of the fire, its causes and extent of damage are being established.
Four fire tankers and ten rescuers were involved in fighting the fire.
