Ukraine is stepping up its approach to countering Russian drones, and the effectiveness of mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Armed Forces is growing with each enemy attack. The spokesman of the Air Force Command of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Yuri Ignat, spoke about this at the telethon. Something new on Friday, September 15.
“Having a locator, having radar tracking of a target, so, in automatic mode, anti-aircraft guns or heavy machine guns will be able to effectively destroy it,” said Ignat.
Mobile fire groups are the most logical means of combating suicide bombers, and anti-aircraft missile forces are the main destroyers of kamikaze drones, he explained.
According to him, Russia continues to increase the production of drones: they are preparing to open special factories on its territory. However, Ukraine is also increasing the production of UAVs, as they are effective weapons whose damage cannot be reduced.
“If this drone, a stray bullet, hits a weak spot, the consequences can be serious. So all means capable of destroying this target both day and night have been developed now. The enemy has a certain strategic task. Of course, they understand that we will use all available means. It is also a waste of ammunition and the exhaustion of our air defense. They set this goal ,” concluded Ignat.
As we wrote earlier, Ukraine approved the domestic attack FPV drone KH-S7, designed to hit various mobile and stationary ground targets, for use in the army.
