The press officer of the Third Separate Assault Brigade, Alexander Borodin, spoke about this. He noted that the Russians fiercely defended the village, there was powerful artillery fire, the use of kamikaze drones and very dense mining.
During the promotion, we were very careful to retain the maximum number of fighters. Andreevka itself is no longer there, it has been completely destroyed, but this square is very important,” Borodin said on the telethon.
“Rakurs” wrote that Ukrainian fighters completely defeated the enemy – the 72nd Motorized Rifle Brigade of the Russian Army. As a result of a lightning-fast operation, the Russian garrison of Andreevka was cordoned off, cut off from the main forces and destroyed.
In the liberated Andrievka, all the houses were damaged; at the time of the occupation there were no more people in the village, Danko, the head of the Ivanovo Starostinsky district, told the “Public” one.
According to her, the village is “very small”; it did not have its own infrastructure or post office. Before the start of the full-scale invasion, 77 people lived in Andreevka.
