Strong gusts of wind and rough seas prevented the mine from exploding before emergency services arrived.
Today, September 15, in the morning, a stormy sea brought another mine to the Black Sea coast of the Nikolaev region. This was reported by the Defense Forces of southern Ukraine.
“Due to strong gusts of wind and rough seas, the mine exploded uncontrollably before the emergency services arrived. Fortunately, there was no damage or casualties. We remind you that the mine hazard on coastal areas sea and along the coast of the Black Sea is increasing significantly, in particular due to the typhoon season,” the message said.
We remind you that recently in Sumy and Kharkov regions, four civilians were injured as a result of the explosion of explosive devices, one of them died.
