From January 1, 2024, the minimum wage can be increased to UAH 7.1 thousand, and from April 1 – to UAH 8 thousand.

Currently, the “minimum wage” in Ukraine is UAH 6.7 thousand, which has remained unchanged since October 1, 2022.
The cost of living per person per month from January 1 will be 2 thousand 920 UAH (currently 2 thousand 589 UAH).
The Cabinet of Ministers included such indicators in the draft state budget for 2024.
At a meeting on September 15, the government approved this document for the next year.
Its main parameters are:
- income: 1746000000000 UAH (total 1.54 trillion UAH).
- expenses: UAH 3.308 trillion (total UAH 3.1 trillion).
- deficit: 1.531 trillion.
The project must be submitted to the Council for consideration by September 15.
The Cabinet of Ministers will allocate more than half of all budget resources to the defense and security of the country – UAH 1.685 trillion (UAH 113 billion more than in the previous one).
They want to finance the social sphere by UAH 489 billion (UAH 25 billion more than in the past).
Medicine and education will receive 179 billion hryvnia (23 billion UAH more than in the past)
Supporting veterans will cost twice as much. Expenses under this item will increase from UAH 6.8 billion. in 2023 to 14.3 billion UAH. in 2024.
As for economic recovery, tax increases are not expected. The government continues preferential lending programs, a program of non-repayable grants – work, support for Ukrainian startups. It is also launching new programs for industrial parks, the implementation of investment projects, to support Ukrainian manufacturers.
