The document states that the Belarusian authorities support “hate speech, disinformation and propaganda consistent with Moscow’s narratives,” and also supply Russian troops with ammunition and equipment and provide them and the Wagner mercenaries with a military foothold on their territory.
In addition, the European Parliament named Lukashenko as accomplices in the illegal removal of 2 thousand 150 children, including orphans, from the Russian-occupied territories of Ukraine to the so-called health camps in Belarus, where they are subjected to “Russification” and ideological indoctrination.
Deputies believe that the actions of Alexander Lukashenko and his regime to forcibly deport Ukrainian children may amount to a crime against humanity.
The European Parliament considers Lukashenko as responsible for these war crimes as Vladimir Putin and Maria Lvova-Belova, and therefore calls on the International Criminal Court to consider issuing a similar international arrest warrant for Lukashenko, the text of the document says.
The European Parliament called on the International Criminal Court to issue an arrest warrant for Lukashenko. The text also talks about the falsification of the 2020 elections in Belarus, the presence of more than 1.5 thousand political prisoners in the country, and the death of convicts in prisons and colonies.
Let us remind you that on March 17, the International Criminal Court in The Hague issued an arrest warrant for Russian President Putin and the Commissioner for Children’s Rights in Russia, Maria Lvovskaya-Belova. They are suspected of illegal deportation of children from the occupied territories of Ukraine to the Russian Federation, which is regarded as a war crime.
