If prohibited items are detected, the postal operator will return them to the sender or take steps to confiscate them.
The Cabinet of Ministers has introduced a ban on sending certain items by post. If found, most will be confiscated. This is stated in the government order.
The decision of the Cabinet of Ministers concerns all postal operators in the country. So, it is forbidden to send to the entire territory of Ukraine, in particular:

national and foreign currency;
-
food products whose shelf life does not exceed 10 days;
-
alcoholic beverages with an ethyl alcohol content of more than 8.5%, tobacco products, liquids used in electronic cigarettes without excise stamps;
-
weapons, flammable or other dangerous substances, toxic and radioactive substances;
-
mercury, acids, toxic, caustic substances;
-
poisonous animals and plants;
-
technical means of secret information acquisition;
-
biological agents.
At the same time, it is forbidden to send by international mail:
-
all types of firearms;
-
main part of weapons;
-
domestically produced devices for shooting cartridges filled with rubber or non-lethal metal projectiles of similar characteristics;
-
cartridges for them;
-
bladed weapons and other items specifically designed for attack and defense (brass knuckles, stilettos, canisters with paralytic liquid), ammunition, means of initiating an explosion;
-
explosives or explosive devices;
-
flammable or other hazardous substances;
-
narcotic drugs;
-
psychotropic substance;
-
precursors;
-
radioactive substances;
-
passport, work book and a number of documents;
-
toxic substances, mercury, acids, poisons, sour substances.
It is noted that if objects and substances prohibited for sending are found in postal items, the postal operator returns them to the sender or takes steps to seize them in accordance with this procedure.
