We are talking about a confrontation during which a patrolman fatally shot a man.
On September 12, GUNP investigators in the Dnepropetrovsk region handed the defendant a notice of suspicion under Part 2 of Art. 342 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (resistance to a government official, law enforcement officer, etc.), the communications department of the Dnepropetrovsk region police reported.
They noted that as part of the pre-trial investigation, investigative actions, forensic medical examinations and other investigative measures are continuing to establish all the circumstances of the offense committed on August 29 against patrol police officers.
Let us remind you: law enforcement officers stopped a car in the Dnieper. After stopping the car, the man behaved aggressively and had all the signs of alcohol intoxication. During the incident, the law enforcement officer used his service weapon. The driver of the car died from gunshot wounds.
On August 31, the court chose a preventive measure for the policeman in Dnieper who fatally wounded a man – round-the-clock house arrest.
The detained patrolman stated that he did not admit his guilt: he used weapons only after all possible means had been used to protect his life.
