In total, law enforcement officials of Ukraine should receive 100 service dogs from various European countries. The first two shipments arrived in Ukraine on July 31 and August 21.
The third batch of service dogs from Europe arrived in Ukraine at the initiative of the Howard Buffett Foundation. This was reported by the press service of the National Police.
As part of this initiative, Ukrainian law enforcement officials are to receive 100 service dogs from various European countries. The first two shipments arrived in Ukraine on July 31 and August 21.
It was noted that the dog centers of Volyn, Ivano-Frankivsk, Nikolaev, Rivne, Kherson, Chernihiv and Kirovograd regions will be filled with German Shepherd and Malinois (Belgian Shepherd) dogs from one year old.
All puppies complete a basic training course. In the future, they will undergo special training, where the dogs will help in conducting mine clearance, searching for explosives and narcotic substances, as well as performing other tasks in deoccupied territories.
The police dog handlers also received the necessary accessories for taking care of the dogs, food, ammunition, educational and training equipment, etc.
