Soldiers of the 128th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade used a captured kamikaze tank against the invaders, which exploded on a mine near Russian positions. However, the explosion from the detonation of the planted ammunition was such that no one else disturbed the Ukrainian infantry from these positions. Press officer of the 128th brigade Yaroslav Galas reported this on Facebook.
According to him, the greatest risk was with the driver, who had to drive the tank lined with explosives to enemy positions within firing distance. Vasily Dudinets from Mukachevo volunteered to carry out this task, and in March 2022 he himself went to the military registration and enlistment office.
Of course, I understood that I might not return. But if the tank had been hit and the explosives had detonated, it would have been instant death. That is, everything is clear – you are either alive or dead. This is not the option where your arm and leg are torn off and then your wife or children push you in a wheelchair and bring you water. It’s better for me to return unharmed or die soon. That’s why I immediately agreed when the commanders talked about the combat mission,” Dudinets said.
According to Galas, after the successfully completed task, the call sign Kamikaze was “firmly assigned” to Dudinets.
Let us remind you that the government stated that the Armed Forces of Ukraine will receive domestic remote kamikaze robots. Experts are currently testing 25 unique developments in the field, from logistics to combat, from remote turrets to kamikaze robots. Soon, these drones will go to the front, where they will help more effectively destroy Russian invaders.
