The navies of Romania and the United States will conduct the multinational exercise Sea Breeze 23.3 in the Black Sea and the Danube Delta from September 11 to 15. This was reported by the press service of the Romanian Navy, European Pravda reports.
Military personnel from Bulgaria, France, Great Britain, Turkey and Ukraine will also participate in the exercises.
The main objective of the exercise is to develop operational and tactical compatibility between the participating countries in the field of countering explosive objects, in particular sea mines, to ensure free navigation.
From the Romanian Navy, the naval dredger Sublocotenent Alexandru Axente, the fast diving ship Venus, the armored boat Posada, three amphibious armored personnel carriers, assault boats and other watercraft, as well as explosive device disposal specialists and marines are involved in the exercises. .
From the US side, the maritime patrol and reconnaissance aircraft Poseidon, divers-sappers with boats and special equipment will participate in the exercises. Other countries will send divers, sappers and special staff representatives to the exercises.
As you know, the situation in the Black Sea and Danube remains tense due to provocations from Russia. Russian troops are systematically blocking Ukrainian ports on the Danube and blocking Black Sea shipping.
