Denmark took Leopard 1A5 tanks from three museums in order to quickly begin training the Ukrainian military. The tanks from the museums turned out to be in better condition than the 100 units remaining in the warehouses.

Forbes writes that the Ukrainian military began arriving in May. The Danes took responsibility for the first stage of their training – the basic material. The training takes place at a training ground in Germany and lasts six weeks.
Denmark completely removed the Leopard 1 tanks from service back in 2005, and instead of them the Leopard 2 appeared in the army. Now almost 100 used vehicles are stored in warehouses, many of which are in need of repair.
Let us recall that Denmark, Germany and the Netherlands agreed in February 2023 to jointly transfer approximately 100 Leopard 1 tanks to Ukraine.
